- Management of unconscious casualties, bleeding, resuscitation, and shock
- Handling fractures, dislocations, burns, and injuries caused by heat, cold, or electricity.
- Treatment of toxicological hazards, poisoning, and chemical exposure
- Examination of patients, diagnosis, and emergency medical procedures.
- Use of medical equipment, including first aid kits and onboard medicines
- Radio medical advice and effective communication with shore-based medical professionals
- Handling of medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, drowning, and asphyxia.
- Management of acute illnesses, infections, and diseases onboard.
