Diesel Engine Combustion Gas Simulator-MEO Class-I (DECGS) Course Description:
The Diesel Engine Combustion Gas Simulator-MEO CLASS-I (DECGS) course is a 3-day mandatory certification for Engineer Officers at the Management Level. This 3-day course fulfills the simulator training requirement for Chief Engineer Officers at the Management Level, specified in Table A-III/2 of STCW Code as amended, to provide knowledge and skills related to optimization of fuel consumption, supervising and monitoring the combustion parameters for safe and efficient operation and control of ship’s machinery.
Eligibility for DECGS Course
To attend the DECGS Course, you need to clear all of the points mentioned below.
- Entry Standards
- COC as MEO class II and 18 months sea service (Engineer Officer)
- INDOS Number is Mandatory.
Documents Required for DECGS Course
To apply for the DECGS course, you need a list of documents such as:
- INDoS Id
- BST STCW course (EFA, FFPFF) Certificate
