The PSF Course is a basic STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) course designed for seafarers joining passenger ships. It trains you to assist passengers during emergencies, use life-saving appliances, and understand ship-specific safety plans.
PSF Course Eligibility
You must meet the following criteria to take the PSF Course:
- Age Requirement
- Minimum 18 years of age is required.
- Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualification: 10th pass.
- Medical Fitness
- You must be medically fit as per the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards. Apart from this, you require a medical fitness certificate from an approved doctor is required with clear vision, hearing and no colorblindness.

- BST, STSDSD Course Certificate

PSF Exit Exam
After completing the PSF Course, you must pass the PSF Exit Exam to receive your certification. The PSF Exit Exam tests your knowledge of passenger ship safety, emergency procedures, and crowd management. It is mandatory for all candidates who want to successfully complete the PSF STCW Course.

1. PSF E-Learning Requirements
- Minimum Study Hours: 10 hours
- Passing Marks: 60%
2. Steps to Complete E-Learning:
- Visit the DG Shipping website and access the e-learning portal.
- Click on Modular Courses, enroll in PSF, and log in with face verification.
- Complete the required e-learning hours and attempt the assessment exam.
- After classroom training, candidates must take the Exit Exam on the DG Shipping website.
3. PSF Exit Exam Details
- Total Questions: 30
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Passing Marks: 18
- Marks per Question: 1
- Mandatory to Attempt: All questions
